Course Contents

This course provides a practical introduction to the use of Deep Learning techniques for analyzing and processing remote sensing images and data. It begins with an overview of the concept of deep learning and its applications in remote sensing, progressing to the implementation of key image analysis and classification tasks using deep learning models and techniques.

Throughout the course, learners will explore Grid-based Classification and how deep learning techniques can be applied to image classification. The course also covers Object Detection techniques for identifying and detecting objects and features within remote sensing imagery. In addition, learners will study Semantic Segmentation for classifying image components at the pixel level, enabling more detailed and accurate analysis of image content and geographic features.
